IATLC is excited to announce a brand new incentive for the winner of the Idaho Language Teacher of the Year award!
As we refresh our TOY selection process to align with regional and national awards, we're partnering with our friends at
Idaho Central Credit Union to provide a $500 honorarium to the 2027 winner!
Be sure to keep your membership up to date so that you can qualify for Teacher of the Year!

Requirements for T.O.Y. are as follows:
- Full time language educator (at least 50% in direct teaching during the year of application)
- -Planning to teach for at least another two years
- -Current ACTFL/IATLC/PNCFL member at the time of application
- -3 consecutive years of membership with IATLC/PNCFL
- -Not currently on the board of IATLC or PNCFL
- April TOY process begins. TOY process and current qualified teachers will be announced at the IATLC Spring Conference and via email.
- May IATLC reaches out to qualified candidates so they may gather and submit all materials and evidence for the Idaho TOY application prior to interviews.
- September Interviews concluded with TOY candidates by end of September.
- October The winner of the ITOY will be announced at the IATLC Fall Conference.
- December IATLC announces finalist info to PNCFL.
- February Application for Regional TOY (PNCFL) due February 15th.
